Discovering Faith Through Spiritual Direction
What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual direction is not the same as Christian discipleship, counseling, or coaching. While there can be areas of overlap, spiritual direction is unique. Spiritual Direction is simply time with someone who listens to you and helps you pay attention to God's voice as it is speaking in your life. The purpose is to provide a safe space to explore and reflect on the movements of the Holy Spirit in one's life. It is really good for those desiring a closer more intimate relationship with God or even for those who have an immediate concern or crisis and they just need space to sort it out with the Holy Spirit. Together we create a sacred space, without shame and without judgment, to honor the beauty as well as the fragile pieces of your personal story and listen together for the grace of God that is waiting for your recognition. My job, if I am dong it well, is simply to help you listen and pay closer attention to that still small voice - to enable you to grow, to heal and to discover all that you were created to be.
Since spiritual direction is about the journey of our hearts toward God, looking for what we treasure becomes an important part of the conversation.

About Me
It took me years to grow in the realization that God truly loves and accepts me - exactly as I am - in all of my light and especially in the darkness of shame and shadows - and that realization was greatly indebted to the ministry of Spiritual Direction. After benefiting so much myself, I knew that this was indeed a ministry that I wanted to offer others. I completed my Spiritual Direction training with Pax Center for Christian Spiritual Formation in June of 2023. I have also been trained under Imago Dei Ministries in Inner Healing and Spiritual Integration. I believe that before anything - love comes first. And I consider it an absolute honor to walk along side others in that love - journeying through those tough and hard to reach spaces - towards a deeper and fuller relationship with God. In my spare time when I am not singing along to Yacht Rock at inappropriate volumes, I am spending time with my husband and eleven year-old son in gratitude - taking advantage of every opportunity I can get to love them better.

While the two are similar as the goal for both lends to the uncovering of old ideas, beliefs, and even memories that are contrary to our identity in Christ - Integration Healing focuses on the parts and pieces of our soul that have splintered off in shame. Utilizing the healing model from Imago Dei Ministries, we delve into those shadowed expressions of behavior and belief and actively work to identify clear paths to wholeness.
There was a time in my life when I really needed to hear from the Lord. I longed for a safe space for someone to listen deeply and pray for me - unfortunately the only places that I could find had a cost attached that I could not provide. Within myself, I knew that I never wanted to present any barriers between anyone desiring prayer and healing. As a result all services are without cost. Donations are accepted but not at all expected or required.
Most sessions are done via zoom. Typically, I will send a zoom invitation the day of our scheduled meeting.
